Role Overview

We are seeking a Naval Architect to join our technical team. This role will play a key part in evaluating, planning, and overseeing ship recycling projects, ensuring structural integrity, safety, and compliance with international green recycling standards. The ideal candidate will have expertise in naval architecture, ship structures, and marine safety standards, along with a passion for sustainable maritime practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct structural assessments and prepare detailed plans for safe ship dismantling.
  • Provide technical expertise in hydrostatics, stability, and structural design analysis.
  • Collaborate with operations and HSEQ teams to ensure compliance with IMO, HKC, and ClassNK requirements.
  • Support development of digital and AI-driven solutions for safety and environmental monitoring.
  • Prepare technical documentation, drawings, and reports for classification societies and regulatory authorities.
  • Evaluate incoming vessels' technical feasibility for recycling projects.
  • Ensure cost-effective and environmentally responsible design solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Naval Architecture/Marine Engineering or equivalent.
  • 4–7 years of relevant experience (shipbuilding, ship repair, or ship recycling preferred).
  • Strong understanding of international maritime regulations (IMO, HKC, MARPOL, SOLAS).
  • Proficiency in CAD software and naval architecture design tools.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work on-site in Alang, Gujarat, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
