Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Java backend services using Spring Boot
  • Build and support RESTful APIs for enterprise applications

  • Integrate AI / Generative AI capabilities into backend systems
  • Implement and optimize prompt engineering strategies
  • Handle token utilization, cost optimization, caching & batching strategies
  • Troubleshoot and debug RAG-based (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) applications
  • Deploy and maintain Java services on VM-based environments (Tomcat, Linux)
  • Participate in end-to-end solution delivery (Design → Development → Testing → Production)
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a distributed India–Singapore setup
  • Communicate technical designs and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Must-Have Skills:

  • Strong Core Java backend development (OOP, collections, performance, error handling)

  • Spring Boot – REST APIs, configuration, starters

  • Relational Databases & SQL (joins, schema design, query optimization)

  • Experience with enterprise architecture & microservices

  • Hands-on experience deploying Java apps in VM-based environments (Tomcat, Linux basics)

  • Understanding of Generative AI / LLM fundamentals

  • Prompt engineering (system vs user prompts, instruction handling, guardrails)

  • Token & cost optimization concepts

  • Understanding and troubleshooting RAG-based systems

  • Strong debugging & problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication skills

Good to Have:

  • Hands-on experience with RAG pipelines (vector databases, chunking strategies)

  • Exposure to Microsoft enterprise environments

  • Basic Angular / JavaScript knowledge

  • Cloud awareness (AWS / Azure / GCP basics)

  • Experience with code quality tools (SonarQube, static analysis)

  • Background in large or regulated enterprises (Banking, Financial Services)

  • Experience integrating OpenAI / Azure OpenAI / LLM APIs
