The GeoSpatial Lead Java role is designed for experienced professionals with 7 to 8 years of expertise in Unix SQL and Java. This hybrid position requires a strong technical background to drive geospatial projects ensuring efficient data management and application development. The role focuses on delivering impactful solutions that align with the companys strategic goals enhancing societal benefits through innovative geospatial technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of geospatial applications using Java to meet project requirements and enhance user experience.
  • Oversee the integration of Unix systems to ensure seamless data processing and application performance.
  • Provide expertise in SQL to manage and manipulate large datasets effectively optimizing database performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality geospatial solutions that align with business objectives.
  • Ensure the implementation of best practices in software development to maintain code quality and system reliability.
  • Analyze project requirements and translate them into technical specifications for development teams.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for geospatial applications to support ongoing maintenance and future enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to geospatial applications ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
  • Mentor junior developers by sharing knowledge and providing guidance on best practices in geospatial application development.
