Role profile:

LSEG RTMDS Engineer supporting the largest RTDS market data environment in the world.

ROLE SUMMARY:

  • Member of the RTMDS level 3 support team for level 2 and FLS teams. Supporting automation and production deployments.
  • Working with core engineering and development to develop functionality and resolve production deployment issues.
  • Test configurations, automation and deliver infrastructure.
  • Delivery to customers with excellence, reliability, sustainable and predictability.
  • To achieve success the candidate will need to be committed, accountable, analytical, work well in a team and reactive to service impacting issues.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

  • Supporting a private cloud hosting many hundreds of customers who historically led their own market data networks who will be both knowledgeable and expecting excellent service.
  • You'll be involved in the platform management ensuring compliance to standards and patching levels in production.
  • Developing inventory to build new infrastructure and support RTMDS Architecture to build a stable environment that meets the demands placed on it.
  • Resolve complex issues with build process, RTDS software configurations, inventory, hardware, custom configuration and providing fix forwards.
  • Document processes and procedures.
  • Train level 1 and level 2 teams on complex tasks and develop support team skills.
  • Ensure suitable monitoring is in place for production systems and working with core engineering to develop new monitoring.
  • Working with development teams and engineering teams to produce complex automation to deliver mass infrastructure.
  • Assist development teams to deliver functionality and resolve issues with their products.
  • Work with QE teams to maintain CI inventory production pipelines have suitable testing to avoid issues and repeated failures.
  • Work with network teams to test WAN and LAN delivery.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

  • Must have a knowledge of Market data in the financial sector and experience at delivering solutions. Domain authority on LSEG products such as RTDS ADH, ADS, DACS and ATS. Experience of networks and server hardware. In depth knowledge of RHEL, shell scripting expertise and proven track record of trouble shooting Market data network issues.
  • Experience of an automation tools such as rundeck and advanced scripting with languages like Python. Workflow tools such as Service Now and Jira. Development tools such as Git and DX1.
  • Nice to have experience of python, HPE synergy, ITRS, BigPanda and HPE Oneview.
  • Should be inclusive, a great teammate and problem solver. You will need to be a leader to delivery teams, operations and our partners.
