Job Description :We are looking for an experienced SAP Cutover/Data Migration Consultant with expertise in managing end-to-end cutover activities and data migration in SAP implementation or upgrade projects. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in SAP data structures, migration tools, and methodologies, along with excellent project management and collaboration skills. Key Responsibilities :

  • Cutover Planning and Execution
  • Develop and manage cutover plans including timelines, dependencies, roles, and responsibilities.
  • Coordinate with business, technical, and functional teams to ensure a smooth transition to production.
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies for seamless cutover execution.
  • Monitor and execute cutover activities during go-live while minimizing business disruptions.
  • Data Migration Management
  • Lead end-to-end SAP data migration including extraction, transformation, cleansing, validation, and loading.
  • Work with business stakeholders to define data migration scope, strategy, and rules.
  • Utilize LSMW, SAP BODS, SAP Migration Cockpit, and other ETL tools for data mapping and transformation.
  • Ensure data integrity and quality through rigorous testing and validation processes.
  • Testing and Validation
  • Collaborate with functional and technical teams to define and execute data migration test plans.
  • Conduct mock migrations, reconciliation, and post-load validation to ensure successful data loads.
  • Analyze and resolve data discrepancies through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Documentation and Reporting
  • Maintain detailed documentation including cutover plans, migration scripts, and issue logs.
  • Provide status reports to project stakeholders on cutover and migration progress.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Act as a liaison between business users, technical teams, and project managers for seamless alignment of migration activities.
  • Conduct workshops and training sessions for business users on data readiness and cutover processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications :Education & Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in SAP cutover planning and data migration.

Technical Skills :

  • Expertise in SAP data migration tools such as:
  • LSMW, SAP BODS, SAP Migration Cockpit, or other ETL tools.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP modules (SD, MM, FICO) and their data structures.
  • Proficiency in data extraction, transformation, and loading techniques.
  • Experience in S/4HANA migrations and HANA-specific data structures (preferred).
  • Hands-on experience in legacy system data extraction and reconciliation.

Soft Skills :

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within tight deadlines.

Preferred Certifications

  • SAP Certified Application Associate
  • Data Migration.
  • SAP Activate Project Manager Certification (preferred).
