Experience- Windows & AD Admin with 3-7 years of Industry experience with Windows Administration & the Active Directory service

Location- Pune

Education: BE/B.Tech/MCA/MTech

(MCSA/MCSE/VCP Certified preferred)

• Install new / rebuild existing servers and configure hardware, peripherals, services, settings, directories, storage, etc. in accordance with standards and project/ operational requirements.
• Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
• Contribute to and maintain system standards.
• Research and recommend innovative, and where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.
• Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
• Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
• Support daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off-site as necessary.
• Perform regular file archival and purge as necessary.
• Provide escalation support per request from various sources; investigate and troubleshoot issues.
• Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted parties.
• Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities. Configure / add new services as necessary.
• Responsible for day-to-day administration duties including Windows Active Directory object maintenance, troubleshooting and repair tasks on Active Directory, Windows Server 2016 and above, Domain Controllers, DNS, user authentication and other operational systems as needed.
• Design and architect a global Active Directory Infrastructure, including, design and implementation of Group Policy, and domain consolidation for large-scale organizations.
• Utilize logical problem-solving to find creative solutions to problems in the environment on a broad scale.
• Plan and design Group Policy Objects as requested to ensure compliance with company policies for servers and user end-point devices.
• Work with stakeholders and other technical teams to collect business and technical requirements and design / deliver enterprise-level solutions.
• Establish/recommend policies on system use and services.
• Create and maintain AD environment management documentation on an as-necessary basis.
• Handle requests via thru Incident/Problem Management tool
• Participate in post-incident review calls
• Participate in on-call escalation rotations for 24x7x365 support; evening, overnight, weekend, holiday and on-call work may be required.
• Other tasks as assigned by management

Skills/Expertise

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent area of technical study.
• Minimum 7+ years of Industry experience with Windows Administration & the Active Directory service
• Ability to install, configure and troubleshoot Active Directory and DNS for Active Directory, as well as skills necessary for Group Policy and Active Directory Security solutions.
• Able to install Windows servers and have good troubleshooting skills for Wintel systems, knowledge in hardening and securing of Wintel systems.
• Advanced level of Administration of Windows servers with active directory, DNS, DHCP and High Availability.
• Implement, monitor, and maintain Active Directory DC design, Schema, OU design, AD replication topology, and DC backup/restore procedures.
• Develop and maintain backup and recovery practices and procedures.
• Strong knowledge and experience of Windows Exchange services
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills. Knowledge of Software deployment and patch management procedures including server patching is preferredRole & responsibilities
