We are hiring for the role of Trading system engineer at Thinkbot Research, Bangalore.
Thinkbot Research is seeking a skilled Trading System Engineer to join our team in Bangalore. We leverage cutting-edge quantitative research and automation to navigate the financial markets. In this role, you'll play a vital role in developing and maintaining our high-frequency trading systems, ensuring their smooth operation and optimal performance
Responsibilities: 1. Design, develop, and deploy automated trading and post-trading systems using Python and shell scripting. 2. Monitor and maintain the health of our trading infrastructure, proactively identifying and resolving issues. 3. Automate the startup and shutdown of our proprietary trading systems across various exchanges and asset classes. 4. Fine-tune Linux servers to achieve optimal performance and stability for our trading applications. 5. Collaborate with the quantitative research team to implement their strategies into production systems. 6. Effectively communicate system status and potential issues to stakeholders.
Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field (preferred), or equivalent practical experience years of experience in developing and deploying automated trading systems or related financial technology. 3. Strong proficiency in Python, shell scripting, and Linux administration. 4. Experience with financial data analysis and quantitative modeling (a plus). 5. Solid understanding of financial markets and trading concepts. 6. Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. 7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 8. A passion for learning and staying up-to-date with the latest technological advancements.
