Job Purpose
Assist superior in coordinate excavation, transportation and crushing operation by optimum deployment of heavy earth moving machines, ensure optimum feeding to crusher to make the desired blend of limestone available to cement plant.

Aditya Cement is one of the best capacity utilised cement plants with an installed capacity to produce 1.75 million tpa with captive power plant of 25 MW and owns mines. The technical know how and main equipment has been obtained from M/s. Krupp Polysious, Germany. The unit is coming up with another state of the art Cement Plant of 8000 TPD. The organisation achieved Quality System ISO-9002 in the year 1997, ISO 14001 in 1998 and through its continual improvement in the Quality Systems the organisation elevat ed to IQRS Level-5 in the year 2000. The unit has been awarded TPM excellency Award in the year 2001 by JIPM, Tokyo for its all round improvement. KRA1 Accountability - Lime Stone Supply Assist superior to Coordinate excavation, transporting and crushing activities for timely supply of right quality and quantity of Limestone to stacker reclaimer as per the cement plant requirement. Assist superior to: Select the benches, get the quality tested of the material. Organise for operation of HEMM & Crusher. Blend the material to arrive at the average desired quality Gather information about the pile position. Take corrective action on deviation in quality & quantity

KRA2 Mine Development Assist superior to Coordinate the excavation operation to create faces, roads and benches, as per the overall mine development plan, fulfilling statutory requirements. Assist superior to Organise excavation to support the road formations, dressing of benches, formation of benches etc. Plan for the safe Mine working as per the Mines Act.

KRA3 Cost and Productivity Assist superior to Monitor & take corrective actions in achieving productivity in HEMM operations and crushing to optimise mining cost. Assist superior to Monitor the dumpers and loaders/ Excavator/ crusher productivity daily. Deploy the HEMM etc, in a manner that idling is reduced Educate & motivate operators to achieve higher productivity. Optimise crusher utilisation.

KRA4 Overburden Removal Assist superior to Coordinate the removal of soil over the mine surface, as per the mining plan to make surface available for drilling and blasting. Assist superior to Deploy machinery when stand by for over burden removal. Dump the soil as planed to create the desired bunds etc, Supervise & guide over burden removing contractor. Arrange dozing for cleaning the ground.

KRA5 Safety Ensure safe operation of all the equipments in his shift and comply with statutory requirements. Allocate equipment operation as per job and skill. Ensure and implement rules and regulations for safe working. Educate & motivate worker for safe operation.

KRA6 System Implementation: The system requirements of ISO, EMS, OHSAS, SA 8000 and WCM systems in thorough the involvement of employees for improving working and quality standard. Identify and improvement study and kaizen. Co-ordinate for WCM KMFA - Identify & get rectified Abnormalities, Unsafe conditions/practices.5S activities. Implementation plan for: Quality improvement objectives. Improvement of WCM criteria score. Internal customer rating improvement. Statutory compliance. Elimination of muda.

5 Job Description 1. To perform the duties of Astt. Manager as per MMR 1961 to ensure safety of the men and machineries.

• Plan, organize & coordinate operation of shifts by deployment of manpower and machine, keeping in mind the production and quality requirements.
• Coordinate excavation, transportation and crushing activities for timely supply of sufficient limestone to crusher as per cement plant requirement.
• Ensuring shift operations at mines in accordance with the regulatory / statutory requirements.
• Coordination with Mines Maintenance, Quality Control, Crusher, Stacker team Security, etc departments for overall effectiveness.
• Ensure safe and environmental friendly operation of all equipments in his area of responsibility and comply all statutory requirements.
