Job Description:

At Asteria Aerospace we are looking for a Drone Service Engineer and Flight-testing/Training role. Here you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of Asteria drone systems for testing and customer training purposes, proper maintenance, repair, and operation of our fleet of drones. You will be responsible for conducting test flights, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing training to customers on drone operation, maintenance, and safety protocols. This role requires a strong technical background, attention to detail, and a passion for working with cutting-edge technology. Your primary objective will be to ensure the highest quality standards in servicing and repairing Asteria's products, which are used in various applications such as aerial surveillance & security, agriculture, mapping, and industrial inspection. Your role will contribute to maintaining high customer satisfaction and excellent service standards. Your expertise will be crucial in advancing our drone technology and enabling our customers to harness the full potential of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Drone Maintenance and Repair:

2. Perform routine inspections and maintenance on our fleet of drones to ensure they are in excellent working condition.

3. Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues, perform necessary repairs, or coordinate repairs with cross-functional teams.

4. Keep accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.

5. Drone Flight test Post Servicing:

6. Conduct pre-flight checks to verify that all drone components, including cameras and sensors, are functioning correctly.

7. Perform test flights to evaluate drone performance, stability, and functionality, identifying potential issues and areas for improvement.

8. Ensure the safe and efficient setup of drones for various missions.

9. Software Updates and Calibration:

10. Perform software updates on drones to ensure they are running the latest firmware.

11. Calibrate drones and associated equipment as needed for accurate performance. 4. Inventory Management:
12. Maintain an organized inventory of drone parts, batteries, and accessories.

13. Monitor and order replacement parts as necessary to minimize downtime.

14. Documentation:

15. Document all maintenance and repair activities, including parts used, time spent, and any issues identified.

16. Create and maintain detailed records of test flights, maintenance activities, and customer training sessions.

17. Assist in the preparation of maintenance reports for management and clients as needed.

18. Customer Training and Support:

19. Assist in training drone pilots on proper drone care and maintenance procedures.

20. Provide technical support to drone operators during missions as required.
21. Provide training to customers on drone operation, including flight controls, software utilization, safety protocols, and maintenance procedures. Additional Information:
22. This position may require occasional travel to client sites or maybe requested to station to Asteria's maintenance hub.
23. The successful candidate will receive training on specific drone models and maintenance procedures.
