As an experienced Active Directory Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will lead a critical Group Policy Management (GPO) initiative within a large-scale, complex enterprise IT environment. Your responsibilities will include: - Assessing, designing, cleaning up, and optimizing Group Policy Objects (GPOs) in Active Directory environments. - Reviewing, analyzing, and documenting existing GPOs to recommend improvements or consolidation strategies for reducing complexity and enhancing manageability. - Designing and implementing GPOs to strengthen security, control applications, and elevate user experience across desktops and enterprise systems. - Collaborating with security, infrastructure, and application teams to ensure alignment of GPO strategies with organizational policies and compliance standards. - Conducting expert-level troubleshooting and root cause analysis for AD and GPO-related issues. - Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for policies, procedures, configurations, and change management processes. - Supporting modernization and migration efforts, including transitions to hybrid or cloud-based Active Directory environments. - Conducting impact analysis and testing of GPO changes in controlled environments before deploying to production.
