Job Title: Content Editor

Job Summary/Objective:

The Content Editor at CARS24 plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy, tone, and grammatical precision of car-related content generated by our writers. The primary responsibility includes thorough verification, copy-checking, and editing to maintain the highest quality standards. This role would be aligned with the Australia & UAE business.

Responsibilities:

  • Fact-Checking: Verify the accuracy of information provided in car-related content to maintain credibility.
  • Copy-Editing: Ensure all content aligns with the established style guide, correcting grammar, punctuation, and syntax errors.
  • Tone Alignment: Guarantee that the tone of the content is consistent with the brand guidelines and resonates with the target audience.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with content writers to provide constructive feedback for improvement and maintaining a cohesive content strategy.
  • Deadline Management: Manage tight deadlines by efficiently editing and approving content within established timelines.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement quality control measures to uphold the highest standards of content across all platforms.
  • Content writing: Write quality content related to cars

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Content Editing: Demonstrated experience in content editing, preferably in a newsroom or editorial setting.
  • Passion for Cars: A genuine interest and passion for automobiles, with an understanding of the automotive industry.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail to catch errors and inconsistencies in content.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with content writers and other team members.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to evolving style guides and industry trends.
  • Experience Requirements: 3-4 years of experience in content editing, preferably in a fast-paced editorial environment.

Work Environment: Hybrid model, with 2-3 days per week at the Gurgaon office.
