Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Quality Engineer with 8–10 years of expertise in the sheet metal fabrication industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality, implementing quality systems, conducting inspections, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role requires strong technical knowledge of sheet metal processes, precision components, welding, fabrication standards, and customer quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality control procedures for sheet metal manufacturing processes.
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections of sheet metal components using measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, CMM, etc.).
  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and standards to ensure product compliance.
  • Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action (CAPA) for customer complaints and internal non-conformities.
  • Monitor and improve process capability, reduce rejections, and enhance product reliability.
  • Lead quality audits—internal, supplier, and customer—and ensure compliance with ISO standards (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, etc.).
  • Work closely with production, design, and supplier teams to resolve quality issues and improve manufacturing performance.
  • Prepare quality reports, control plans, PPAP, FMEA, and other documentation as required.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects using Lean, Kaizen, and 5S methodologies.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes—laser cutting, bending, welding, punching, assembly, finishing.
  • Proficiency in quality tools: RCA, 7QC Tools, FMEA, PPAP, MSA, SPC, CAPA.
  • Familiarity with GD&T and engineering drawings.
  • Hands-on experience with quality measuring instruments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional quality improvement projects.

Educational Qualification:

  • Diploma / B.Tech / BE in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Additional certifications in Quality Management (Six Sigma, ISO Internal Auditor) preferred.

Pay: ₹35, ₹40,000.00 per month
