Dean Physiotherapy

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary leader to join our university as the Dean of Physiotherapy. The Dean will be responsible for overseeing the academic, administrative, and operational functions of the Department of Physiotherapy. The role requires a seasoned academic professional with a strong background in physiotherapy education, research, and practice. The Dean will lead the department to achieve its academic goals, enhance research output, and foster a culture of excellence in teaching, learning, and clinical practice.

Key Responsibilities:

- Academic Leadership:

• Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs in Physiotherapy.

• Ensure the highest standards of academic quality, curriculum design, and instructional delivery.

• Foster a collaborative environment for faculty, students, and staff, promoting interdisciplinary research and innovation.

- Research & Development:

• Drive research initiatives within the department, encouraging faculty and students to engage in cutting-edge research projects.

• Secure funding for research through grants and collaborations with industry, healthcare institutions, and government bodies.

• Publish in high-impact journals and present research findings at national and international conferences.

- Faculty & Staff Management:

• Recruit, mentor, and develop faculty members, ensuring continuous professional development and academic excellence.

• Oversee faculty workload, performance evaluations, and promotions in line with university policies.

• Encourage faculty involvement in scholarly activities, clinical practice, and community service.

- Student Engagement & Success:

• Enhance student learning experiences by integrating innovative teaching methods, practical training, and clinical exposure.

• Oversee student admissions, advising, and support services, ensuring high retention and graduation rates.

• Promote student participation in research, internships, and professional development opportunities.

- Strategic Planning & Administration:

• Develop and implement strategic plans for the growth and development of the Department of Physiotherapy.

• Manage departmental budgets, resources, and infrastructure to support academic and research activities.

• Collaborate with university leadership, other departments, and external partners to align departmental goals with the universitys mission.

- Accreditation & Quality Assurance:

• Ensure compliance with national and international accreditation standards for physiotherapy programs.

• Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives to maintain and enhance the department's reputation.

- Community & Industry Engagement:

• Establish partnerships with healthcare institutions, professional bodies, and industry to enhance clinical training and research opportunities.

• Promote community outreach programs and public health initiatives that align with the department's expertise.

Qualifications:

- Academic Credentials:

• A Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Physiotherapy or a related field.

• A minimum of 10 years of academic experience in a reputed institution, including significant leadership roles.

• A strong record of research publications, grants, and professional achievements in the field of Physiotherapy.
