Job Title: Manager – Product Development and Technology (Solar Modules)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and innovative Product Development Manager to lead the design, development, and advancement of solar modules. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background and a proven track record in driving technology innovation, product optimization, and cross-functional collaboration. This role bridges market needs with technical execution, supporting our leadership in solar module technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Product Development & Innovation

  2. Lead end-to-end product development, translating customer and market requirements into product specifications.

  3. Coordinate with R&D teams on prototype design, performance evaluation, and validation.
  4. Ensure new products meet cost, quality, performance, and reliability goals.

  5. Drive design improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.

  6. Module Technology & Roadmap

  7. Evaluate and adopt emerging solar cell and module technologies

  8. Monitor industry trends, innovations in materials, and advanced manufacturing techniques.
  9. Benchmark competitor products and provide insights to shape the company's technology roadmap.

  10. Interface with material and equipment suppliers to assess and implement technological upgrades.

  11. Cross-Functional & Technical Collaboration

  12. Work closely with R&D, Quality, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Certification teams to ensure product readiness and compliance.

  13. Provide technical documentation and support to compliance and certification teams.

  14. Facilitate pilot production runs and successful transition to mass production.

  15. Market Interface & Technical Support

  16. Gather market intelligence and customer feedback to guide product development.

  17. Support technical sales efforts by delivering product knowledge, presentations, and training to commercial teams and customers.

  18. Testing, Reliability & Qualification

  19. Define and oversee reliability testing protocols for new product configurations.

  20. Approve Bills of Materials (BOM) for new module types.
  21. Ensure long-term durability and field performance through robust validation and testing procedures.

  22. Collaborate with certification bodies for product qualification and documentation.

  23. Continuous Improvement & Team Leadership

  24. Lead initiatives for product and process optimization.

  25. Mentor and manage a high-performing product development team.
  26. Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in solar module engineering, product development, or technology innovation.
  • Strong understanding of PV module materials, design, and manufacturing processes.
  • Hands-on experience with reliability testing, BOM evaluation, and technology benchmarking.
  • Proficient in managing product lifecycles from concept to commercialization.
  • Excellent cross-functional leadership, project management, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with global certification standards and documentation protocols.
