We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join the Global Markets, Mumbai, India team.

Job Introduction

To ensure timely and accurate processing of all FEX / derivative deals done by Global Markets, India including handling of documents, regulatory reporting, FIM compliance and liaising with Internal and External stakeholders.

Principal Responsibilities 

Accurate and timely processing of all Interbank FX deals done by Front office within appropriate cut off times.Accurate and timely reporting of trades to Trade repository including trade life cycle eventsacross the products.Monitoring of Trade Matching PlatformsAccurate processing of all Corporate FX deals done by Front officeEnsure all confirmations and payments are sent in time   Ensure compliance with all regulatory and internal control requirementsEnsure all required documents are received from Client on timely basisEnsure appropriate action taken and responses are provided as per the agreed TATTo provide internal customers with the highest level of service through understanding customer needs and establishing good relationships, with improvement from benchmark by year endSupport new Treasury business initiativesMaintain a high level of control over correspondence both internal and externalTo be updated with Regulations and PoliciesContribute to sustaining team morale and motivation within the departmentEnsure atmosphere of the team is maintained with open communication amongst the team and with managersProvide suggestions and assist in streamlining processes with a view to reducing manual effort and achieving higher efficiency/accuracy and cost savingsEnsure strict cost control discipline

Role Requirements / Education Qualifications / Certifications / Experience:

HSBC Treasury has to operate in an environment which is highly controlled and regulated through numerous laws and regulations. The jobholder is guided by the Global Banking & Markets FIM, RBI's Exchange Control manual and various guidelines issued from time to time, FEMA, FEDAI & FIMMDA guidelines, Internal Control guidelines and market best practices.

 Minimum Graduation or as required for the role, whichever is higher

Any discrepancy on this desk may directly result into regulatory default or non-compliance, major challenge for this desk is to maintain a high level of accuracy while adhering to extremely demanding time constraints. Jobholder should strive to build robust intraday controls to mitigate such defaults/ risks.

Jobholder needs to ensure that effective checks and balances are in place and timely and accurate information is submitted.

The thinking challenge in the job is to suggest ways to streamline workflows to cut processing time without compromising on controls. To ensure that electronic settlement mechanisms are implemented without any compromise on controls.

Additional Information

• Mandatory to successfully complete Anti-Money Laundering and Sanctions training and post-course assessment, as required.

Eligibility Criteria

India Bank / INM employees will be eligible to apply to this role after completion of 12 months in the current role/position at the time of application on level transfer and/or promotion.

Entity Employees (not from India Bank) to be guided by their internal policy on tenure completion in current role at the time of application before applying and share line manager approval once shortlisted
