Export Operations and Logistics Specialist

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Plan and manage end-to-end export logistics operations including booking, documentation, customs clearance, and on-time shipment of chemical products.
- Ensure strict compliance with DGFT, Customs, IMDG, IATA, REACH, EPA and other international regulations; maintain and renew certifications like AEO, ISO, Status Holder, and Factory Stuffing.
- Coordinate hazardous and non-hazardous chemical shipments ensuring correct labelling, packaging, and transport as per safety standards.
- Build, manage and evaluate relationships with freight forwarders, CHAs, transporters, warehousing partners, shipping lines, QC labs and insurance providers.
- Negotiate and optimize freight rates, transport costs and ancillary charges while maintaining agreed service levels.
- Oversee transportation planning, warehouse operations, inventory accuracy and safe handling/storage of cargo including temperature-sensitive or dangerous goods.
- Coordinate with quality control labs for inspections, testing, certifications and dispatch of samples in line with international courier regulations.
- Serve as single point of contact for customers on shipment status, documentation, complaint resolution and proactive updates.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 4-7 years of experience in supply chain, operations, or logistics, preferably in cross-border trade, and track record of managing a team
- Experience working in a distribution setup
- Knowledge of hazardous chemicals logistics is a plus
- Strong proficiency with softwares and willingness to learn new technologies
- Experience with US-specific freight forwarding, logistics, customs brokerage, and warehousing is preferred
