Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and manage end-to-end export logistics operations including booking, documentation, customs clearance, and on-time shipment of chemical products.
  • Ensure strict compliance with DGFT, Customs, IMDG, IATA, REACH, EPA and other international regulations; maintain and renew certifications like AEO, ISO, Status Holder, and Factory Stuffing.
  • Coordinate hazardous and non-hazardous chemical shipments ensuring correct labelling, packaging, and transport as per safety standards.
  • Build, manage and evaluate relationships with freight forwarders, CHAs, transporters, warehousing partners, shipping lines, QC labs and insurance providers.
  • Negotiate and optimize freight rates, transport costs and ancillary charges while maintaining agreed service levels.
  • Oversee transportation planning, warehouse operations, inventory accuracy and safe handling/storage of cargo including temperature-sensitive or dangerous goods.
  • Coordinate with quality control labs for inspections, testing, certifications and dispatch of samples in line with international courier regulations.
  • Serve as single point of contact for customers on shipment status, documentation, complaint resolution and proactive updates.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 4-7 years of experience in supply chain, operations, or logistics, preferably in cross-border trade, and track record of managing a team
  • Experience working in a distribution setup
  • Knowledge of hazardous chemicals logistics is a plus
  • Strong proficiency with softwares and willingness to learn new technologies
  • Experience with US-specific freight forwarding, logistics, customs brokerage, and warehousing is preferred
