Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Die Fitter specializing in Sheet Metal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in assembling, fitting, and maintaining sheet metal dies, ensuring high precision and efficiency in production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, fit, and adjust sheet metal dies as per specifications.
  • Perform die maintenance, repairs, and modifications to ensure optimal performance.
  • Operate hand tools, grinders, milling machines, lathes, and other fitting equipment.
  • Inspect dies for defects, measure tolerances, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot and resolve die-related issues.
  • Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and workplace best practices.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience as a Die Fitter in the Sheet Metal Industry.
  • Strong knowledge of tool and die fitting, machining, and fabrication techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD designs.
  • Experience with grinding, drilling, milling, and lathe operations.
  • Understanding of tolerances, measurements, and precision fitting.
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Certification in Tool & Die Making, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in stamping, pressing, or sheet metal manufacturing is a plus.
