Designation: Trainee under WILP / NAPS scheme ( for 2 years)

Department: Fabrication

Formal education: ITI Welder

Professional experience: 2 to 4 years

Role & responsibilities:

• Knowledge about welding processes eg. GTAW/SMAW etc.
• To perform or assist tasks related to welding eg. Joint Preparation, Fit up, Post weld preparation, and repair if required.
• Able to read and follow the welding procedure specification and instructions when welding.
• Effectively produce quality welds preferably radiography quality.
• Inspection of Pre -Process, in process and complete weld joint as required.
• Work on height, heat and enclosed spaces with proper PPES if required.
• Able to handle 20 to 25 kg weight as per KSB rules if required.
• Comply with all KSB safety policies and programs.
• Able to learn new things and communicate issues and concerns timely.
• Able to learn heavy job handling with overhead crane and stacker as required.
• Able to work in Shifts or as required.
• Must know about electrodes and filler wire required for different steel material grade and their combinations & welding consumable handling.
• Must know basics and primary maintenance of Welding Machine and Welding Torch.
• Must know safety rules, housekeeping, shop floor related activity and material handling

Stipend:

• Rs. 18500/- per month
• Stipend will be subject to revise after completion of each year.
