Job Description: Network Engineer / Firewall Engineer

Location: Indore

Experience: Fresher to 6 Months

Job Type: Full-time

Role Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated and energetic Network Engineer / Firewall Engineer to join our team in Indore. The ideal candidate should have basic knowledge of networking, hardware, and firewall operations. This role involves installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of network devices and helping maintain secure network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot routers, switches, access points, and firewalls.
  • Assist in managing LAN/WAN networks, Wi-Fi, and network connectivity.
  • Provide support for network performance monitoring and ensure minimum downtime.
  • Basic understanding and handling of firewall rules, VPN, NAT, and security policies.
  • Support in installation and configuration of network security tools.
  • Perform basic hardware setup, system installation, and upgrades.
  • Maintain network documentation, asset records, and daily activity logs.
  • Provide technical support to end-users for network-related issues.
  • Ensure timely escalation and follow-up on critical issues.

Required Skills:

  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, Routing).
  • Understanding of firewall basics (FortiGate / Sophos / SonicWall preferred).
  • Ability to troubleshoot connectivity and performance-related issues.
  • Good understanding of Windows/Linux basics is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work on field assignments when required.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma / BE / B.Tech / BCA / MCA in IT, Computer Science, or relevant field.
  • Relevant certifications (CCNA, Network+, Firewall Basics) will be an added advantage.
