Key Responsibilities

  • Architecture & Development: Lead the design and implementation of new user-facing features using , TypeScript, and modern web technologies.
  • Component Libraries: Build, maintain, and document a library of reusable, accessible, and high-quality React components for company-wide use.
  • State Management: Architect and manage a scalable and predictable application state using libraries such as Redux, Zustand, or React Query.
  • Performance Optimization: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, ensuring fast load times and a smooth user experience by optimizing component rendering, bundling, and API requests.
  • Code Quality & Testing: Write clean, modular, and well-documented code. Enforce code quality and best practices through rigorous code reviews and by writing comprehensive unit and integration tests (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library).
  • Collaboration: Work in lockstep with UI/UX designers to ensure the technical feasibility of designs and translate wireframes into high-fidelity functional code.
  • API Integration: Collaborate with backend engineers to define and consume RESTful or GraphQL APIs, ensuring seamless data flow between the client and server.
  • Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior and mid-level developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and constructive feedback.
  • Technical Leadership: Stay current with the latest trends in the React ecosystem and front-end development. Advocate for and lead the adoption of new technologies and standards where appropriate.

Required Qualifications (Must-Haves)

  • Experience: 3+ years of professional experience in front-end software development.
  • React Expertise: 2+ years of deep, hands-on experience with , including modern features like Hooks, Context API, and Concurrent Mode.
  • JavaScript/TypeScript: Expert-level proficiency in modern JavaScript (ES6+). Strong professional experience with TypeScript is required.
  • State Management: Proven experience with complex state management solutions (e.g., Redux Toolkit, React Query, Zustand, Recoil).
  • Styling: Strong command of CSS, SASS/LESS, and CSS-in-JS libraries (e.g., Styled-Components, Emotion).
  • API Consumption: Deep experience in consuming and integrating RESTful APIs or GraphQL.
  • Testing: Proficiency in front-end testing frameworks and tools (e.g., Jest, React Testing Library, Vitest, Cypress).
  • Tooling: Expertise with modern front-end build tools (e.g., Vite, Webpack), package managers (NPM/Yarn), and version control (Git).
  • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to architect solutions for complex UI challenges.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Haves)

  • Frameworks: Experience with React-based frameworks like (especially App Router) or Remix.
  • Component Storytelling: Experience using Storybook or similar tools to develop and showcase component libraries.
  • CI/CD: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
  • Accessibility (a11y): Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and building fully accessible applications.
  • Backend: Basic understanding of backend development (e.g., , Express) is a plus.
  • Cloud: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
