We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CCTV Technician to install, maintain, and repair closed-circuit television (CCTV) systems and other security systems for residential, commercial, or industrial clients. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with CCTV hardware, software, networking, and troubleshooting.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain CCTV systems, including cameras, monitors, DVR/NVR systems, and related components.
Conduct routine inspections, testing, and preventative maintenance of security systems.
Diagnose and repair faults or replace defective equipment as needed.
Set up wireless and IP-based CCTV systems, including necessary network configurations.
Collaborate with clients to determine system requirements and optimal placement of cameras and other devices.
Keep accurate records of work performed, parts used, and system configurations.
Ensure all work is completed in accordance with safety regulations and company standards.
Provide user training and support for installed systems.
Stay updated on the latest security technologies and industry best practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in electronics, IT, or a related field preferred.
Proven experience as a CCTV technician or similar role.
Strong understanding of IP networks, cabling (CAT5/6), and video surveillance technologies.
Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals.
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces if necessary.
Valid driver's license (if travel to client sites is required).
Preferred Qualifications (Optional):
Certification in security systems (e.g., Hikvision, Dahua, Axis, Milestone).
Basic knowledge of access control, alarm systems, or intercoms.
Experience with remote monitoring software and mobile app integration.
Working Conditions:
Fieldwork at various locations (residential, commercial, or industrial).
May require lifting of heavy equipment and working outdoors or in challenging environments.
Occasional after-hours or weekend work depending on client needs.
