Manager/Senior Manager for Electrical Design Engineering

Responsibilities:

BE/Btech in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of years working experience in Electrical Engineering with an EPC company/ EPC consultant.

  1. Exposure on the following areas are required:

a) Electrical equipment sizing calculations (DG/Battery/transformer/cable/ NGT/ Excitation Transformer/ Bus Duct/Motor).

b) Developing Single Line diagram/ 3-line diagram, Metering & Protection SLD

c) Developing Electrical layouts for Switchgear, substation, transformer yard, Excitation system equipment room layout, Bus Duct layout etc.

d) Understanding on Relay control and protection system of Generator, Transformer, Excitation system and Trip Matrix considering interfaces with grid.

e) Review of Customer specification and RFQ preparation and Knowledge of National & Internal Standards (IS/IEC/IEEE/NFPA)

  1. Hands on Experience to operate Auto-Cad and ETAP programs is desirable.

  2. Knowledge of synchronous generator

a) Specification, Capability Curve, Phasor diagram, Construction and components, Design parameter of generator, Interfaces with mechanical and C&I engineering team 

  1. Knowledge of Synchronous generator auxiliaries are essential for following packages:

a) Stator Cooling water Unit, Seal Oil Unit, Gas System (H2/CO2)

  1. TBE/TER preparation, Review of Technical offers, Review of technical vendor drawings/calculation, Coordination with project team for schedule preparation, Customer coordination for document review and comment resolution. Witness and review of type / routine test of electrical equipment as per standards.

6 Knowledge of Excitation system is essential.
