Bhubaneswar Orissa, India SBCC Projects Pvt. Full time ₹ 8,40,000 - ₹ 10,80,000 per year

To lead and manage all civil construction projects of the company, ensuring timely completion, cost efficiency, quality control, and compliance with safety and statutory norms. Responsible for overall planning, coordination, and execution of multiple projects simultaneously.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning & Management

  • Oversee end-to-end project lifecycle — from planning, budgeting, and tendering to execution and handover.
  • Prepare detailed project schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and resource allocation plans.
  • Review and approve project designs, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring smooth progress.

2. Execution & Quality Control

  • Monitor progress of all civil works at sites; ensure adherence to design, quality, and safety standards.
  • Conduct periodic site visits and review meetings with project managers and site engineers.
  • Ensure materials and workmanship conform to approved specifications.
  • Approve and monitor subcontractor and vendor performance.

3. Cost & Budget Management

  • Prepare and monitor project budgets and control costs within approved limits.
  • Evaluate and certify contractor bills, variations, and claims.
  • Optimize resource utilization to reduce wastage and improve profitability.

4. Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate project engineers, site managers, and supervisors.
  • Build strong cross-functional coordination among design, procurement, and execution teams.
  • Conduct performance reviews and ensure staff training and skill development.

5. Liaison & Coordination

  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, government authorities, and vendors for project approvals and clearances.
  • Represent the company in client meetings, progress reviews, and site inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, environmental, and safety standards.

6. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare and present periodic progress reports to management.
  • Maintain proper documentation of contracts, drawings, and approvals.
  • Implement ERP or project management software for tracking project performance.

7. Strategic Responsibilities

  • Contribute to company growth strategy through project planning, cost control, and business development inputs.
  • Identify opportunities for new projects and participate in tendering and bidding processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement in construction technology and processes.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of civil engineering principles, project management tools, and construction standards.
  • Expertise in contract management, BOQ, estimation, and billing.
  • Familiarity with modern construction technologies and quality systems (ISO, QA/QC).
  • Proficient in MS Project / Primavera / AutoCAD / ERP systems.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹840, ₹1,080,000.00 per year
