Role Overview

We're looking for an experienced Android Developer (2+ years) to lead and scale our Android app. You'll own end-to-end development — from API integration and architecture design to deployment and optimisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain scalable Android features using Kotlin, XML, and MVVM architecture.
  • Integrate the app with backend APIs (REST/GraphQL) for real-time and secure data sync.
  • Manage Play Store deployment, versioning, and build pipelines.
  • Optimize performance, memory usage, and background services.
  • Work closely with iOS and backend teams to maintain feature parity and architectural consistency.
  • Contribute to clean code practices, testing, and documentation.

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional experience in Kotlin development.
  • Strong understanding of Android architecture components (ViewModel, LiveData, Room, Navigation).
  • Proven experience integrating backend APIs and handling app lifecycle management.
  • Hands-on experience with Play Store release and Gradle build management.
  • Solid debugging, problem-solving, and performance optimization skills.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with Screen Time / UsageStatsManager APIs or Digital Wellbeing features.
  • Familiarity with background jobs, WorkManager, and battery optimization.
  • Experience with analytics or subscription-based apps.
