Core responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain OpenShift clusters. Monitor performance, manage resource allocation, and implement scaling strategies.
• Automate repetitive tasks using tools like Ansible and write scripts for cluster management. Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines.
• Implement and enforce security policies, manage access controls (RBAC), patch clusters, and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Monitor cluster health, identify and resolve issues, and perform root cause analysis for OpenShift, Kubernetes, and container-related problems.
• Work closely with development and operations teams to support the deployment of applications, manage services, and assist with application migration.
• Develop, test, and maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures for the OpenShift environment.
• Create and maintain clear documentation for cluster configurations, operational procedures, and best practices.

Required skills and experience

• Strong understanding of OpenShift and Kubernetes architecture.
• Experience with container orchestration, networking, and storage.
• Proficiency in scripting languages and automation tools.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and related tools.
• Familiarity with security best practices in container environments.
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS is often a plus
