About the Role

We are building one of India's next big word game titles, and we're looking for a Senior Product Manager with deep expertise in Word Games to lead the product vision, strategy, and execution.

This role requires someone who has built, scaled, or optimised word-based casual/puzzle titles, understands the psychology behind the genre, and knows how to craft systems that maximise player retention, engagement, and long-term value.

As a Senior/Lead PM, you will play a critical leadership role, influence product direction end-to-end, and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver a category-defining word game.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Ownership

  • Define and own the product vision, roadmap, and KPIs for our upcoming Word Game IP
  • Build robust core loops, meta loops, progression systems, and feature frameworks
  • Develop and execute strategies that drive retention, engagement, and monetisation

Data-Driven Decision-Making

  • Analyse player data, funnels, cohort metrics, and in-game behaviours
  • Lead structured A/B tests, experiments, and hypothesis-driven iterations
  • Use insights to refine features and optimise the overall game experience

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Work closely with design, engineering, UA, art, and analytics teams
  • Mentor the team and contribute to building the internal product culture
  • Align stakeholders and ensure smooth delivery across the product lifecycle

Market & Competitive Insights

  • Track and analyse word game competitors, trends, mechanics, and market shifts
  • Identify opportunities to innovate and stay ahead of global benchmarks

Required Experience & Skills

  • 3 - 5+ years experience in the mobile gaming industry
  • Must have strong hands-on experience with Word Games (anagram, spelling, puzzle, quiz, hybrid word genres)
  • Proven ability to drive retention-focused product decisions
  • Deep understanding of Free-to-Play systems, monetisation, and live ops
  • Strong analytical foundation; proficiency in data tools (Amplitude, Firebase, Looker, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and storytelling skills
  • Ability to think from the player-first POV and balance fun with business goals

Bonus Skills

  • Experience scaling games in Tier 1 markets
  • Understanding of UA metrics and their influence on product strategy
  • Familiarity with content pipelines, difficulty systems, and long-term live ops
  • Exposure to building or managing a multi-title ecosystem/IP
