Minimum Qualification:
- M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, or a closely related field
- 2 - 5 years of hands-on experience in synthetic organic chemistry, preferably in an industrial or research setting
Roles and Responsibilities:
Technical Skills:
- Skilled in multistep organic synthesis, reaction optimization, and compound isolation
- Proficient in techniques such as:
- Chromatography (TLC, column, flash)
- Analysis of Spectroscopy (NMR, LCMS and HPLC)
- Recrystallization, Precipitation, and other purification methods
- Familiar with air-sensitive and moisture-sensitive reactions
Responsibilities:
- Design and execute synthetic routes for target molecules
- Perform purification and structural characterization of synthesized compounds
- Troubleshoot synthetic problems and optimize reaction conditions
- Maintain accurate lab records and contribute to technical reports
- Collaborate with analytical teams as needed
Soft Skills:
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to lab safety and adherence to safety protocols
- Familiarity with reaction databases (e.g., Reaxys, SciFinder)
CTC Range:
Commensurate to experience and negotiable.
