Minimum Qualification:

  • M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, or a closely related field
  • 2 - 5 years of hands-on experience in synthetic organic chemistry, preferably in an industrial or research setting

Roles and Responsibilities:

Technical Skills:

  • Skilled in multistep organic synthesis, reaction optimization, and compound isolation
  • Proficient in techniques such as:
  • Chromatography (TLC, column, flash)
  • Analysis of Spectroscopy (NMR, LCMS and HPLC)
  • Recrystallization, Precipitation, and other purification methods
  • Familiar with air-sensitive and moisture-sensitive reactions

Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute synthetic routes for target molecules
  • Perform purification and structural characterization of synthesized compounds
  • Troubleshoot synthetic problems and optimize reaction conditions
  • Maintain accurate lab records and contribute to technical reports
  • Collaborate with analytical teams as needed

Soft Skills:

  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to lab safety and adherence to safety protocols
  • Familiarity with reaction databases (e.g., Reaxys, SciFinder)

CTC Range:
Commensurate to experience and negotiable.
