COMMISSIONING ENGINEER - TURBINE / pump-turbine

Working location: INDIA

General Description

Commissioning Engineer is responsible for planning, preparing, and executing commissioning activities for Turbines, Pump-Turbines, and associated hydraulic systems. This includes ensuring compliance with technical and safety standards while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful and timely project delivery.

JOB RESPONSABILITIES AND TASKS

• Develop and manage commissioning time schedule for Turbine and Pump-Turbine systems.
• Review, update, and finalize commissioning concepts and strategies to align project-specific needs.
• Prepare documentation, including Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), commissioning procedures, and test protocols.
• Conduct and update risk assessments, ensuring all safety measures are identified and implemented.
• Execute commissioning in close collaboration with all stakeholders including customer, internal teams and contractors.
• Provide regular progress updates and reports to Site Manager (SM), Project Manager (PM), and Commissioning Coordinator (CC).
• Actively contribute to site coordination meetings and maintain accurate reporting for project tracking.
• Identify, report, and support resolution of non-conformities, ensuring compliance with technical standards.
• Finalize commissioning protocols and issue certifications required for commercial operation.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Education: Graduate in Mechnical, or Electrical or Electronics or equallent engineeting degree
• Experience: 12-15 years + in relevant commissioning roles
• Languages: English
• Product Know-How : In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience in commissioning turbines, pump-turbines, valves, and associated hydraulic systems.
• Readiness to travel : Willingness to travel as required by project demands.
