Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Ruby on Rails Developer with around 5 years of professional experience to join our team. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in building scalable web applications with Ruby on Rails, strong SQL knowledge, and solid experience designing and working with REST APIs. Exposure to Python and GraphQL will be a strong plus. This role requires excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and maintain Ruby on Rails applications.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries for efficient data handling.
  • Design, build, and integrate REST APIs for seamless system interactions.
  • Ensure high performance, scalability, and security of applications.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
  • Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other developers to deliver quality software.
  • Stay updated with best practices and emerging trends in Ruby on Rails development.

Requirements:

  • ~5 years of experience in software development with a strong focus on Ruby on Rails.
  • Proficiency in SQL and database schema design.
  • Hands-on experience in building and consuming REST APIs.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Exposure to Python programming and GraphQL APIs.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
  • Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
