About the Role

We at Innovaccer are looking for a Site Database Reliability Engineer -II to build the most amazing product experience. Youll get to work with other engineers to build delightful feature experience to understand and solve our customers pain points

A Day in the Life

  • Database design, model, implement and size large scale systems using Snowflake, PostgreSQL and MongoDB
  • Responsible for Provisioning, availability 24X7, reliability, performance, Security, maintenance, upgrades, and cost optimization
  • Capacity planning of large-scale database clusters
  • Automate DB provisioning, deployments, routine administration, maintenance and upgrades
  • Address the business critical incidents P0/P1 within the SLA, identify the RCA and address the issue permanently
  • Sync data between multiple data stores (eg: PostgreSQL to ES and Snowflake to ES)
  • Design, document and benchmark the Snowflake or MongoDB
  • DB Maintenance, Backup, Health check, alerting and Monitoring
  • Create processes, best practices, and enforce
  • Identify and tune the long running queries to improve DB performance and to reduce the cost.

What You Need

  • Over 4 years of experience working in dynamic environments, specializing in data engineering with a strong focus on both Databricks and Snowflake platforms to deliver scalable, high-performance data solutions.
  • Skilled in integrating Databricks and Snowflake to build seamless workflows that combine Databricks strengths in real-time analytics, complex transformations, and machine learning with Snowflakes ease of use, concurrency, and data sharing features.
  • Deep understanding of Delta Lake for managing data reliability and schema evolution in Databricks, alongside Snowflakes automatic scaling, virtual warehouses, and separation of storage and compute for efficient query performance.
  • Expertise in implementing data security best practices including encryption, auditing, and role-based access control on both platforms to ensure compliance and governance.
  • Hands-on experience troubleshooting and optimizing performance for large-scale production workloads in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP), specifically tuning Spark clusters in Databricks and optimizing Snowflake query performance.
  • Proactive and innovative problem solver with a keen ability to explore emerging features in databases, enabling organizations to leverage the best of unified analytics, machine learning, and cloud data warehousing to solve complex business challenges.
  • Familiarity with other databases such as Elastic Search and MongoDB, enabling Innovaccer to implement best practises and governance
