Quality Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring QMS implementation in line with ISO 9001 requirements, customer requirements & applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Ensuring product quality through Quality assurance and Quality control activities throughout the design/development & manufacturing process.
  • Conducting Internal Audits, reporting issues and tracking to closure. Facilitate Management Reviews.
  • Facilitating external audits by Certification bodies, Customers & Regulatory bodies.
  • Monitoring the various quality objectives/metrics & Ensuring actions are taken using root cause analysis for the deviations.
  • Providing QMS related trainings and building quality consciousness among team.
  • Ensuring supplier quality controls are implemented.
  • Handling customer complaints & ensuring actions are taken.
  • Lead continual improvement activities.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 6+ years of experience in QMS in design/development, manufacturing organizations preferably in electronics products related organizations.
  • Thorough Knowledge about ISO 9001: 2015 standard requirements.
  • Good Knowledge about Production quality control tools like Control plan, FMEA,SPC,RCA etc.
  • Strong understanding of electronic manufacturing processes.
  • Internal Quality Auditor/Lead auditor certification for ISO 9001:2015.
  • Experience in facing external audits by Certifying bodies.
  • Knowledge about Railway related standards like ISO/TS 22163:2017 (IRIS), EN 50126 / EN 50128 / EN 50129 will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge about ISO 27001:2022 will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge about SDLC related tools like Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Testrail.
  • Good experience in documentation, MS Office/Google Docs.
  • Good Communication & Presentation skills, Strong analytical & Problem solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • B.E/B.Tech in Electronics/Electrical or related engineering field.
  • Certifications (Preferred) : ISO 9001: 2015 Lead Auditor/Internal Auditor Certification
