About the Role

We're seeking an experienced and motivated Backend Engineerto join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the scalable backend services that power our innovative SaaS platform. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create robust, high-performing solutions while mentoring junior engineers and contributing to a culture of excellence.

What we are looking for in our Backend Engineer (SDE3):

Key Focus Areas:

Backend Development

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python and associated frameworks.
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to build innovative and user-centric features that address key business needs.

System Optimization and Performance

• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in system components, ensuring maximum efficiency and reliability.
• Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software and databases for optimal performance and functionality.

Code Quality and Documentation

• Write high-quality, maintainable code based on detailed product requirements and designs.
• Drive the development of automated tests, perform rigorous code reviews, and maintain technical documentation to support knowledge sharing and onboarding of new team members.

Collaboration and Mentorship

• Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions.
• Provide mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and adherence to best practices.

What we expect from you:

• Brings a minimum of 4+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years focused on Python-based frameworks.
• Has hands-on experience with Python 3.7, Django 2.2+, and REST APIs.
• Possesses a minimum of 1 year of experience with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
• Experience working with both NoSQL and SQL databases.
• Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as a hands-on self-starter.
• Willingness to learn and ability to flourish in a dynamic, high-growth, entrepreneurial environment.
• Hands-on, self-starter, capable of working independently.
