Magma Mapper

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role as a Magma Mapper located in Lucknow. The Magma Mapper will be responsible for conducting geophysical and geological surveys to map magma activity, analyzing volcanic data, creating reports, and supporting disaster preparedness efforts. The role involves working collaboratively with teams to collect and interpret seismic and geodetic data, as well as contributing to research advancements in volcanic systems. Additional responsibilities may include monitoring volcanic activity and maintaining relevant equipment used in the data collection process.

Qualifications

• Experience in geophysical surveys, geological mapping, and data interpretation
• Proficiency in seismic, geodetic, and volcanic activity analysis
• Strong analytical, research, and reporting skills
• Team collaboration, communication, and project management capabilities
• Familiarity with volcanic disaster preparedness and related technologies
• Background in earth sciences, geology, or a related field; advanced degrees preferred
• Ability to work on-site in a dynamic and potentially demanding environment
• Additional certifications in geoscience or volcanology are a plus
