Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for an Area Manager - MFI located in Chennai. The Area Manager will oversee daily operations within their assigned area, ensure effective implementation of microfinance activities, and manage a team to achieve targets. Key responsibilities include monitoring financial performance, ensuring compliance with policies, conducting field visits, and implementing strategies for customer acquisition and retention. Additionally, the role involves training and mentoring staff, conducting performance reviews, and liaising with stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

• Experience in microfinance operations and managing MFI activities
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in data analysis and financial performance monitoring
• Ability to conduct field visits and engage with customers effectively
• Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements in the financial sector
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
• Experience in the banking sector is a plus
