
Tender Executive

- Review tender documents (drawings, specifications, schedules) for civil works and extract BOQ items accurately.
- Perform quantity take-offs from drawings (architectural, structural, civil) and generate BOQ sheets.
- Verify and validate BOQ quantities against drawings and scope, identifying omissions or errors.
- Coordinate with technical, engineering, design teams to clarify ambiguities in drawings and specifications.
- Prepare rate/price analysis for each BOQ item: material, labor, equipment, overheads, profit, etc.
- Gather market rates for materials, labor, equipment, and input these into costing.
- Input BOQ into tender documents/cost sheets; fill in unit rates and compute total tender price.
- Cross-check BOQ vs tender requirements, ensure units, work categories, and descriptions match.
- Assist in preparing the commercial bid: ensure all BOQ items are covered; identify provisional sums, preliminaries, contingencies.
- Track changes/variations in BOQ through pre-bid queries, amendments, corrigenda.
- Maintain BOQ templates and ensure standardization of item descriptions, units, sub-items.
- Participate in pre-bid meetings or site visits to understand site conditions that may affect quantities or cost.
- Maintain BOQ-related MIS / trackers: status of tenders, cost vs estimate, winning ratio, lessons learned.
- After tender award, support contract implementation: handle any BOQ negotiations, change orders, claims arising from quantity variations.
