Senior Automation QA Engineer (5+ years)Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as an Automation QA Engineer or Software Developer in Test (SDET), focused on designing and maintaining robust automated test solutions
  • Advanced proficiency in Python, including:
  • Strong OOP and design pattern knowledge
  • Experience with pytest, unittest, and custom test frameworks
  • Experience with mocking, parametrization, and fixture layers
  • Familiarity with Python-based test data generation and utility scripting
  • Experience in multiple programming languages (e.g., JavaScript, Kotlin, Java, or Go) is a plus
  • Proven experience in UI and mobile test automation, using tools like Selenium WebDriver, Appium, Playwright, or Cypress
  • Solid CI/CD mindset and experience integrating tests into pipelines using Jenkins, TeamCity, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI
  • Dockerized test environments, test result publishing, retries, parallelization
  • Working experience with message brokers/streaming systems, particularly Apache Kafka and RabbitMQ
  • Proficient in observability tools: Kibana, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, CloudWatch
  • Familiarity with containerized environments and infrastructure: Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-based systems (AWS, GCP, Azure)
  • Experience with technically complex systems such as high-load, distributed, networking, or cybersecurity products
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills (logs, tracing, metrics correlation)
  • Experience working with AI tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude) to enhance productivity in test design and automation
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with developers, DevOps, and product managers
