Litigation Associate

Role & responsibilities
- Manage and monitor litigation matters across various forums, including civil, criminal, consumer, arbitration, recovery tribunals (DRT), and regulatory bodies (RBI, SEBI, etc.)
- Liaise with external counsels, advocates, and law firms to track ongoing cases and ensure effective representation in court.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders for documentation, case inputs, and case strategy formulation.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date Litigation MIS, ensuring timely inputs, data accuracy, and reporting using Excel (including use of pivot tables, dashboards, VLOOKUP, etc.).
- Prepare periodic legal reports, status updates, and presentations for internal stakeholders and senior management.
- Monitor timelines, court hearing dates, and compliance with legal deadlines.
- Review legal notices, summons, and court orders; ensure prompt and appropriate action.
- Analyse litigation trends, legal risks, and provide insights for process improvements and risk mitigation.
- Ensure legal compliance in litigation procedures and maintain proper documentation and records.
- Support audit, governance, and regulatory reporting requirements related to litigation.
Preferred candidate profile
Experience in both in-house litigation and court
2 to 8 Years of experience in NBFC/BFSI
