Core responsibilities

  • Asset management:
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of company assets, including acquisition, tracking, and disposal.
  • Maintain accurate asset inventories, such as equipment and software licenses.
  • Ensure compliance with software licenses and contractual terms.
  • Conduct audits to reconcile deployed assets with entitlements.
  • Vendor management:
  • Act as the primary point of contact for vendors.
  • Negotiate contracts, SLAs, and service terms.
  • Monitor vendor performance against SLAs and other key metrics.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including performance reviews and issue resolution.
  • Ensure vendors adhere to contractual obligations and compliance requirements.
  • Process and strategy:
  • Develop and implement strategies for vendor management and asset management.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Analyze spending patterns to find cost-optimization opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align vendor services with business needs.
  • Create reports and provide data-driven insights to management.

Key skills and qualifications

  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience in IT or business with a focus on vendor or asset management.
  • Familiarity with asset and contract management principles.
  • Knowledge of relevant technologies and network infrastructure (for IT-focused roles).
  • Certifications like ITIL or PMP are often a plus.
