Responsibilities
Roles & ResponsibilitiesManufacturing Leadership
  • Oversee full-scale manufacturing of gun systems including barrel assembly, recoil mechanisms, mounts, and fire control integration
  • Lead production planning, resource allocation, and workflow optimization across multiple facilities.
Quality Assurance & Testing
  • Implement and monitor QAPs and inspection plans for all stages of gun system assembly
  • Conduct proof testing, endurance trials, and accuracy validation of weapon systems
  • Ensure compliance with defence standards (ISO, NATO, MoD) and internal quality benchmarks
Process & Compliance Management
  • Identify and resolve non-conformities during assembly through structured problem-solving techniques (e.g., RCA, 8D, FRACAS).
  • Ensure cybersecurity and physical security compliance as per SMLDI 2025 guidelines
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Coordinate with R&D, procurement, and quality teams to ensure seamless integration of components and systems.
  • Manage vendor relationships for critical parts like barrels, sensors, mounts, and electronics
Innovation & Continuous Improvement
  • Drive adoption of advanced manufacturing techniques including automated assembly, additive manufacturing, and modular upgrades
  • Explore integration of hybrid kill systems combining soft kill (jammers, radar) and hard kill (guns, lasers)Roles & Responsibilities

Qualifications
Qualifications
  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Defence Engineering; Or any relevant degree.
  • Minimum  18+ years of experience in Defence manufacturing, preferably in gun systems or large-caliber ammunition.
  • Experience with DRDO, OFB, or private defence OEMs is highly desirable.
