Purpose
To for planning, monitoring and coordinating of all milk procurement related activities for his operational area.
Role holder will be responsible for implementation, monitoring and improvement of milk procurement related systems in his area.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities
1. Planning, monitoring and evaluation.
- To assist the Area Officer in conducting survey of the targeted villages to establish the viability of the village in terms of Milk Production
- To assist the Area Officer in monitoring Fat & SNF loss
- To organize, sending and receiving of the required data from BMC and MPP to Area/Distt. office under the supervision of Area Officer.
2. Operations and quality assurance
- To meet the targeted milk procurement(quantity & quality)
- To assist the Area Officer in organizing the Milk Producers to form into MPP
- To assist the Area Officer in installing the BMC at the village
- To follow the system of testing & recording and start milk procurement in the specified MPPs.
- To assist in organizing Logistics to all MPP's of the designated area
3. Producers relationship management
- Responsible for opening producer bank account.
4. Maintenance
- Follow up the coordination with the Supplier/Service providers to carry out maintenance of the testing equipments.
5. Coordinate technical input programme
- To follow up the agencies who are acting as service provider
6. Training and motivation
- To organise training of Sahayak, community development organizer in terms of MPP operations, organizing farmers etc for the specified area
7. Planning, monitoring and evaluation.
- To assist the Area Officer in conducting survey of the targeted villages to establish the viability of the village in terms of milk production
- To assist the Area Officer in monitoring Fat & SNF loss
- To organize, send and receive the required data from MPP to BMC to Area Officer.
- To remain updated about information in respect of production, marketable surplus and the number of the producers household in each village
- Monitor the number of pourers as against milch animal holding household (MAHOHO) in each village
8. Producers relationship management
- To assist the Area Officer in organizing the milk producers
- Attend milk collection at MPP to supervise the activities going on and also redressing the grievances of members
- Encourage sahayak/ BMC operator to encompass more number of pourers to increase the coverage and viability
- To meet the targeted milk procurement (quantity & quality)
- Organize suitable meetings/ group discussions at village level to disseminate information about new technology, development etc.
- Ensure the regular and timely release pourer payment by the bank branches
9. Training and motivation
- To help the Area Officer in organizing training of BMC Operator, Sahayaks in terms of MPP operations for the specified area

Job Specifications
Education:
- Graduate in any discipline, preferably in Science
Skills and Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience preferably in the area of milk procurement.
- Experience of working in rural areas desirable
