As VP of HR for an integrated steel plant, you'd be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies, ensuring compliance, managing talent, and fostering a positive employee experience, while also overseeing industrial relations and ensuring a harmonious work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Leadership:- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the steel plant's business objectives.
- Plan and review the organization structure to ensure alignment with business needs and effective execution.
- Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the steel plant's business objectives.
Talent Management:- Oversee recruitment, selection, and onboarding processes.
- Manage performance management systems and provide guidance to managers.
- Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and competencies.
- Manage compensation and benefits programs.

Employee Relations and Industrial Relations:- Manage employee relations issues, including grievances, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Experience: Extensive experience (15+ years) in HR management, ideally within a manufacturing or industrial setting, with a significant portion in a steel plant or similar environment.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of labor laws, HR best practices, and industrial relations.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Competencies: Ability to build strong relationships, manage conflict, and drive change.
- Industry Specific: Experience with unionized or non-unionized workforce, and familiarity with steel plant operations is highly desirable.
- Language: Proficiency in local languages (e.g., Odia) may be an advantage.
