Role Overview
We are looking for a
Process Engineer
to lead the
installation, commissioning, and process optimisation
at our Agri-Fiber Conversion Unit in Morena. The role requires a strong background in pulp & paper technology or related continuous process industries, combined with hands-on expertise in
plant layout, equipment integration, and vendor coordination
.
Key Responsibilities
- Installation & Commissioning
- Support design and review of plant layout, utility planning, and equipment placement.
- Coordinate with equipment vendors for installation, commissioning, and performance testing.
- Prepare SOPs for start-up, shutdown, and emergency operations.
- Process Engineering
- Define and optimise process parameters for fiber pulping, washing, and recovery.
- Monitor key performance indicators (yield, kappa number, brightness, energy & chemical consumption).
- Troubleshoot operational issues and recommend corrective actions.
- Vendor & Project Coordination
- Work with external vendors, contractors, and internal teams for timely project execution.
- Evaluate technical specifications, drawings, and vendor quotations.
- Ensure compliance with safety and statutory regulations during plant construction and commissioning.
- Continuous Improvement
- Drive efficiency initiatives to reduce energy, water, and chemical consumption.
- Document learnings from trials and scale-up activities to improve repeatability.
- Collaborate with R&D for trials of new fibers and process enhancements.
Qualifications
- B.Tech / M.Tech in
Chemical Engineering, Pulp & Paper Engineering, or Process Engineering
. - 3–6 years of experience in pulp & paper mills, fiber processing, or chemical process industries.
- Hands-on experience in
installation & commissioning of process plants
. - Familiarity with pulp washing, effluent treatment, and recovery systems.
- Strong project management, vendor negotiation, and documentation skills.
Skills & Competencies
- Solid understanding of pulp chemistry and continuous process operations.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent coordination and communication skills across multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work in a
fast-paced startup environment
and rural setting.
