Role description

Job Title: React Developer with DevOps Responsibilities

Experience Range: 5+ Years

Hiring Location: [Insert Location – e.g., Bengaluru, India / Remote / Hybrid]

Role Proficiency:

Act creatively to develop and maintain applications by selecting appropriate technical solutions and optimizing development, maintenance, and performance. Assist Project Managers with day-to-day project execution, lead small teams, and contribute to DevOps initiatives.

Must Have Skills:

Frontend Development (React):

• Strong hands-on experience with React and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• Experience building and maintaining component-based UI architectures
• Integration experience with Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) or similar CMS
• Strong understanding of web performance optimization and responsive design
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, TypeScript

DevOps & Infrastructure:

• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
• Experience with AWS services: S3, CloudFront, IAM, etc.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terragrunt/Terraform
• Administration and management of Bitbucket repositories

General Software Engineering:

• Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban)
• Proficient in unit testing, debugging, and code reviews
• Ability to conduct requirement analysis, break down tasks, and estimate timelines
• Comfortable managing and mentoring small teams

Good to Have Skills:

• Familiarity with content modeling, structured documentation, and metadata usage
• Experience with developer portals, API documentation, and onboarding flows
• Exposure to AEM workflows and integrations
• Understanding of Rapid Application Development (RAD) concepts
• Experience working with interface definition languages (IDL) and data modeling
• Knowledge of Agile best practices, including sprint planning and retrospectives
• Strong skills in communication, presentation, and cross-functional collaboration
• Ability to contribute to release planning, deployment support, and production monitoring

Experience Range:

• 5+ years of professional experience in Frontend Development (React or similar frameworks)
• 2+ years of experience with DevOps responsibilities (CI/CD, AWS, Bitbucket, etc.)
• Experience leading technical tasks, mentoring junior developers, and supporting project delivery

Key Responsibilities:

Frontend Development:

• Build and maintain React-based UI components
• Integrate front-end components with AEM to deliver structured, high-quality content
• Ensure usability, accessibility, and cross-browser compatibility

DevOps & Infrastructure:

• Support infrastructure during critical periods
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to ensure streamlined deployments
• Configure and manage AWS services (S3, CloudFront)
• Administer version control systems (Bitbucket) and enforce best practices

Project & Delivery:

• Break down complex requirements into executable tasks
• Code, debug, test, and document software components
• Participate in requirement gathering, design discussions, and code reviews
• Collaborate with QA and content teams to ensure quality and alignment with business needs

Team & Communication:

• Mentor junior developers and contribute to team goals (FAST goal setting)
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams and customers
• Proactively identify risks, suggest improvements, and take ownership of deliverables

Performance Measures (KPIs):

• Adherence to coding standards and timelines
• Quality metrics: number of defects pre/post delivery
• Number of resolved DevOps tickets/issues
• Test coverage, RCA effectiveness, and delivery consistency
