JOB DESCRIPTION

ABOUT THE PROJECT

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Alteryx Developer to join our team in Kothanur, Bangalore to lead a critical digital transformation initiative for a leading US-based healthcare products manufacturer. This role will be the cornerstone of our migration project to modernize legacy data processing systems into a centralized Alteryx-based data automation platform.

Project Scope:Migrate manual Excel-based processes, VBA macros, MS Access databases, and file-based workflows to Alteryx Designer workflows and Alteryx Data Hub.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Migration & Development (60%)

• Develop end-to-end migration of 25+ Excel-based macros, and MS Access databases to Alteryx Designer workflows
• Analyse and document existing business logic embedded in Excel macros, Access SQL queries, and manual processes
• Design and develop complex, scalable Alteryx workflows using best practices for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL)
• Create reusable Alteryx macros and Analytic Apps to enable self-service capabilities for business users
• Integrate data from multiple sources including MS Access Server, flat files (CSV, Excel), APIs, and shared network folders
• Implement data validation and quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency post-migration
• Optimize workflow performance for large healthcare datasets (millions of records) using In-Database processing where applicable

Healthcare Domain (20%)

• Work with Data Engineering business stakeholders to understand manufacturing processing workflows, Inventory SKUs, payments, and AR aging, etc.
• Build automated reports for key ETL metrics: Summary Tables, Logs and Monitoring.

Technical Leadership & Collaboration (15%)

• Participate in technical discussions with US-based client stakeholders and project managers
• Conduct peer code reviews to ensure quality, performance, and maintainability of Alteryx workflows

Documentation & Deployment (5%)

• Create comprehensive documentation: workflow design documents, data lineage diagrams, data dictionaries, and user guides
• Schedule and monitor workflows on Alteryx Server with proper error handling, logging, and email alerts
• Support UAT and production deployment activities with thorough testing and validation

• Healthcare supply chain:2+ years experience in Bill of materials, Labour efficiency, Inventory SKU management, Shipping, AR aging, or related Supply chain processes.

Professional Experience

• 3-5 years of total IT experience with a minimum of 3 years in Alteryx development
• Proven track record of successfully leading migration projects from legacy systems (Excel, Access) to modern platforms
• Experience working with US clients and demonstrating flexibility for US time zone collaboration (weekly evening calls)

Certifications (Good-to-Have)

• Alteryx Designer Core Certification
• Alteryx Designer Advanced Certification

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors degreein computer science, Information Technology, Data Science, Healthcare Informatics, or related field
• Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of degree
