Role Objective
To lead and establish a robust Quality Management System (QMS) across all departments of Armstrong Dematic, ensuring adherence to ISO standards, driving process compliance, and setting up a result-oriented Quality department that aligns with business excellence goals.
Key Responsibilities
1. QMS Implementation & ISO Certification
Lead QMS implementation across business functions as per ISO 9001 and other relevant standards (ISO 14001, ISO 45001 if applicable).
Ensure internal systems, SOPs, and documentation align with audit and certification requirements.
Coordinate external and internal audits and drive timely closure of NCs.
2. Process Adherence & Standardization
Define and implement process maps and SOPs across departments Projects, Engineering, SCM, Manufacturing, and Service.
Ensure end-to-end adherence to defined processes and continuously monitor for deviations and improvements.
Facilitate cross-functional process standardization with measurable KPIs.
3. Quality Department Setup
Establish and lead the Quality Department – hiring, training, and mentoring quality engineers, inspectors, and auditors.
Define structure for Incoming, In-Process, and Final Quality Inspection including field quality.
Implement robust Root Cause Analysis (RCA), CAPA, and Quality KPIs (DPPM, FTR, COPQ).
4. Quality Culture and Awareness
Drive organization-wide awareness of quality principles and ownership through training programs, visual management, and workshops.
Collaborate with leadership and departments to embed quality in culture and decision-making.
Institutionalize "Quality First" mindset within operations, engineering, and customer delivery teams.
5. Customer and Supplier Quality
Manage customer complaints, feedback, and field performance trends. Ensure timely and systemic resolution.
Lead supplier audits and incoming quality controls in collaboration with SCM.
Build strong quality interface with key customers and drive improvement in customer satisfaction scores.
Key Skills & Competencies
Deep knowledge of ISO QMS frameworks, audit handling, and compliance.
Strong process orientation and analytical ability for root cause analysis and preventive action planning.
Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional coordination skills.
Ability to set up systems from scratch and lead change management.
Knowledge of tools like FMEA, 8D, Six Sigma, and QMS software systems preferred.
Qualifications & Experience
B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Industrial / Production Engineering or related fields.
Minimum 12–18 years of experience in Quality function, with at least 5 years in QMS leadership role.
Experience in automation, intralogistics, material handling, or project-based engineering industry preferred.
ISO Lead Auditor Certification is a plus.
