Overview: The SAP Data Archiving Manager plays a crucial role in managing the organization's SAP data archiving processes. This role involves developing and implementing data archiving strategies, ensuring compliance with data retention policies, and optimizing SAP performance. The SAP Data Archiving Manager works closely with cross-functional teams to execute archiving projects and ensure data integrity and security.Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement SAP data archiving strategies.
  • Manage and oversee the execution of data archiving projects.
  • Ensure compliance with data retention policies and legal requirements.
  • Collaborate with SAP functional teams to define archiving objects and retention rules.
  • Monitor and optimize SAP performance through data archiving.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation in data archiving.
  • Provide technical expertise in SAP archiving tools and technologies.
  • Train and mentor team members on data archiving best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors during data archiving audits.
  • Communicate with stakeholders to provide updates on archiving projects and performance.
  • Lead the evaluation and selection of archiving software and tools.
  • Ensure data integrity and security throughout the archiving process.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to data archiving processes and procedures.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices and trends in SAP data archiving.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in SAP data management and archiving.
  • Proven experience in project management with a focus on data archiving.
  • In-depth knowledge of SAP data archiving strategies and principles.
  • Strong understanding of data retention policies and legal requirements.
  • Proficiency in SAP archiving tools and technologies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience working with cross-functional and international teams.
  • Knowledge of industry best practices in SAP data archiving.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Certification in SAP data archiving is a plus.
  • Experience with data archiving in cloud environments is desirable.
