This is a contract, remote role for a Senior SAP PP Consultant. The Senior SAP PP Consultant will be responsible for managing and optimizing production planning processes within SAP. The consultant will conduct day-to-day tasks including analyzing business processes, ensuring proper integration with other systems, managing master data, and providing consulting advice to improve operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and document production planning requirements.
  • Configure and customize SAP PP modules (Master Data, MRP, Capacity Planning, Shop Floor Control, Demand Management, etc.).
  • Integrate SAP PP with MM, SD, QM, WM/EWM, APO/IBP, and other relevant modules.
  • Support production scheduling, batch management, BOMs, routings, and work centers.
  • Handle PP-PI (Process Industries) or discrete manufacturing scenarios as required.
  • Provide end-user training, documentation, and post-go-live support.
  • Participate in full lifecycle SAP implementations, upgrades, and rollouts.
  • Troubleshoot issues, perform root-cause analysis, and implement corrective solutions.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing processes and improve efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of hands-on SAP PP configuration and implementation experience.
  • Strong knowledge of production planning processes (discrete, repetitive, or process manufacturing).
  • Experience with MRP, production scheduling, capacity planning, and shop floor execution.
  • Familiarity with integration points to MM, SD, QM, WM/EWM, APO/IBP.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Experience with S/4HANA PP module preferred.
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
