About the Role

The Heart of the Role At WisdomWood High (WWH), the Early Years Educator is a foundational architect of curiosity and character. This role is not simply instruction; it is about cultivating a warm, emotionally safe, and intentionally designed inquiry environment where every young learner feels seen, valued, and inspired to explore their world.

You will champion a pedagogy that is deeply play-based, developmentally appropriate, and rooted in real-world wonder, aligning with our IB-inspired principles and the NEP 2020 ECCE goals.

Key Responsibilities

1) Transformative Pedagogy & Learning Environment

• Design and deliver integrated, play-based learning experiences

that holistically advance cognitive, social, physical, and emotional development.
- Facilitate authentic, inquiry-led cycles

that encourage deep observation, critical questioning, meaningful exploration, and thoughtful reflection.
- Curate an aesthetically rich, child-centred environment

that functions as the 'third teacher,' drawing inspiration from renowned global practices (e.g., Reggio Emilia, Montessori).
- Employ a diverse methodology

incorporating storytelling, music, movement, nature integration, art, and hands-on materials to foster whole-child growth.
- Differentiate instruction

to seamlessly meet diverse learning needs and paces, ensuring
inclusive excellence

for every child.

2) Planning, Documentation & Development Assessment

• Develop robust weekly and monthly plans

that connect the Early Years Framework with WWH's essential learning outcomes.
- Maintain dynamic child portfolios and learning journey documentation

using high-quality visuals, reflective observations, and student voice.
- Utilize consistent formative assessments

(anecdotal notes, observation rubrics, child-led reflections) to track and analyze progress in
early literacy, numeracy, and emotional intelligence

- Collaborate with the Learning Lead to review progress data and implement
timely, individualized support plans

.

3) Collaboration, Coaching & Community Partnership

• Work proactively with the Co-Learning Partner

for joint planning, shared classroom observation, and reflective teaching practices.
- Integrate cross-disciplinary learning

by coordinating seamlessly with Creative Coaches (Art, Music, Movement, STEM).
- Foster strong, transparent family partnerships

by regularly sharing documented learning stories, milestone updates, and actionable suggestions for home-based reinforcement.
- Actively participate

in Parent Connect sessions, Early Years exhibitions, and other school-community showcases.

4) Culture, Care & Conscious Safety

• Model the WWH ethos

through consistent
empathy, patience, and mindful communication

with children and adults.
- Maintain a joyful, safe, and structured classroom

where routines promote
independence and self-confidence

- Adhere strictly

to all WisdomWood's safeguarding, health, and hygiene policies.
- Instil core values

such as respect, gratitude, and kindness through daily interactions and exemplary role-modelling.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Essential:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in
Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Psychology, or Education.
- Experience:

2–4 years of dedicated experience

in a high-quality pre-primary or early years setting.
- Preferred Background:

Demonstrable experience with
Inquiry-Based Learning

and/or frameworks like
IB PYP, Reggio Emilia, or Montessori

.
- Expertise:

Strong command of
child development theory, early literacy/numeracy acquisition

, and authentic assessment methods.
- Language:

Excellent fluency in English

(both written and verbal); competence in additional Indian languages is a significant asset.
- Digital Fluency:

Proficient in
Google Workspace for Education

, digital documentation, e-portfolios, and virtual sharing platforms.
Google Certified Educator Level 1 & 2 mandatory.
