We are not hiring an employee. We are bringing on an owner.

Your Mandate: The Soul of the Device:

As our Founding Engineer, you are the single source of truth for the physical product. You will own the T.I.G.E.R. device from bare metal to its first breath of data. Your mission is to architect, build, and deliver a resilient, production-grade embedded system that will serve as the bedrock of our entire company.

  • Architect and build bulletproof firmware in C/C++ using ESP-IDF and a Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) like FreeRTOS.
  • Own the hardware architecture from concept to schematic. You will be the technical authority who directs a specialist Freelance PCB Consultant to execute your layout vision.
  • Lead the hands-on board bring-up and validation for a complex, mixed-signal, RF-sensitive device. You live and breathe the world of oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
  • Build a secure and fail-safe FOTA update pipeline with rollback protection. This is a non-negotiable, Day 1 requirement.
  • Be the first technical leader in the company. Your standards for quality, security, and documentation will define our engineering culture.

Who You Are: The A-Player Profile:

  • You have 7+ years of professional experience taking complex, real-world embedded products from concept to production, preferably in the automotive, medical, or rugged industrial IoT space.
  • You are a master of the modern IoT stack. You don't just "know" ESP-IDF and FreeRTOS; you have architected complex, multi-threaded applications with them.
  • You have proven, hands-on experience in schematic design and hardware bring-up. You can read a datasheet in your sleep and are not afraid to get your hands dirty with a soldering iron.
  • You have a security-first, systems-level mindset. You have implemented secure boot, flash encryption, and robust OTA pipelines in a commercial product.
  • You are a first-principles thinker who is energized by uncertainty and thrives on the immense responsibility of a founding role.
  • Youve turned down comfortable, high-paying jobs before because the mission wasn't big enough.

  • Ownership, Not Employment: From Day 1, you will be a builder of the company, not a cog in a machine. Your voice will shape our product, culture, and strategy.
  • Immediate Start: We are moving at maximum velocity. You must be able to join within 7 days.
