Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of our software products through rigorous testing and analysis. You will work closely with development teams to identify defects, implement testing strategies, and contribute to the overall improvement of our software development lifecycle (SDLC). A strong background in both manual and automated testing is essential for this role.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various applications, including mobile applications on Android and iOS platforms.
  • Perform functional, system, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure software quality.
  • Utilize automated testing tools such as Selenium and TestNG to enhance testing efficiency.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of defects and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Participate in continuous integration (CI/CD) processes to streamline testing within the development workflow.
  • Maintain test documentation in tools such as HP ALM, Jira, or TFS.
  • Analyze data from tests to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and ensure alignment with quality standards.
  • Execute load testing using tools like LoadRunner to assess application performance under various conditions.
  • Provide technical support for software troubleshooting and debugging.

Experience

  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation scripting.
  • Experience with databases like MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, or Oracle for backend validation.
  • Familiarity with web services (RESTful APIs and SOAP) and service-oriented architecture (SOA).
  • Knowledge of version control systems such as GitHub or GitLab.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies as well as Waterfall processes in software development.
  • Experience with mobile testing frameworks and tools specific to Android and iOS platforms.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Maven to facilitate automated build processes.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform data analysis related to software quality metrics.
